We are a Pathway Designated facility by ANCC, and we are on our journey to Magnet status.Position Summary:Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patient for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans.
Job Requirement
Education/Experience:Equivalent to graduation from high school and graduation from an accredited school of radiology.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Must possess valid American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and State of Nevada License in Radiology. . Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Office Lab Assistant License within thirty (30) days of hire (applies only to employees hired into a Quick Care, Primary Care, Express Care, or other ambulatory care cost center as applicable and determined by leadership).
Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO DOCUMENT THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE: - Trauma experience.
- Open to work varied shifts (days, swings, graveyards).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements
Knowledge of:Radiographic examination procedures and protocols; diagnostic x-ray equipment; quality assurance and quality control measures; personal computers; anatomy and physiology of the human body; contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms; venipuncture techniques; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures; age specific patient care practices.
Skill in:Positioning patients properly to maximize results; using diagnostic x-ray exam equipment; preparing and administering contrast solutions; applying radiation safety principles; applying aseptic principles; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting, including stamina to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; vision to use standard office equipment and read printed materials including a VDT screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
