Tax Season Assistant - Business Tax (Temporary) Department of Revenue Hourly Salary: $ 16.31 Location: Truman Building - 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO

We are team oriented, goal driven, and value strong communication and typing skills, as well as problem solving experience. You will work in a friendly environment with a full-time weekdays only work schedule with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT'S VISION: - Review motor fuel tax returns to ensure necessary information is included
- Complete data entry tasks to input tax return figures and taxpayer information
- Research and error correct motor fuel tax returns to ensure timely processing
- Correspond with both internal and external customers about tax processing
- Assist taxpayers with filing issues and promote electronic filing options, via phone and email correspondence

QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be at least 16 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Proficient typing and computer skills
