  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus 2 years of cash handling experience

Driving Requirement:
This position requires a Texas Class “C” Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation ( DRE ) requisite . To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.
Pay Range
$21.18 - $23.56
Hours
Assigned work hours and days will vary based on scheduled events and business needs; which primarily include working weekends, evenings, overnights and/or holidays.

  • Experience in working in Parking and Transportation Operations.
  • Monetary experience of auditing, cash control, and cash handling.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite software.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Experience working with parking access control systems such as Flash.
  • Records Management experience.
  • Experience with customer service.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

Opens and closes parking facilities Verifies cash tills prior, operating banks change funds, collections are balanced and Accurate. Unlocks door, elevator access, and entrance gates Places appropriate signage Prepares and posts deposits Provides relief for cashiers for breaks and lunch. Provide transportation to cashiers and cash funds to main central garage Oversees the daily events to ensure that coupons are being utilized where applicable and fees are being collected for events Responds to customer questions and resolves issues

  • May provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training, and guidance to others.
