Full-time position available with the Health Department, Office of Population Health Science Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
This is moderately complex and specialized research work involving the application of specialized knowledge to public health statistics and data analysis.
- Plans, coordinates, and supervises of the gathering, analyzing, and reporting of basic statistical data of a public health program.
- Performs the more complex assignments requiring considerable skill in research, analysis, and presentation of data as well as development of methods and procedures in the survey and analysis of all statistical data in connection with administrative, medical, vital events and other public health studies.
- Uses considerable initiative and judgment.
- Work products are judged by an administrative superior on the basis of reports and results achieved.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree in public health, biological sciences or related field including 15 hours in statistics, mathematics, or epidemiology and 3 years of relevant statistical experience; or an accredited Master's degree in statistics or related field and one year of related experience.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
