The Transportation and Public Works Department, Right of Way Management Division is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Consultant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our data and business processes, as well as supporting the technical proficiency of our team members. This position also contributes to the growth and improvement of our core business functions by meticulously documenting and tracking technical issues and process changes. Division functions include right of way permitting, inspection, enforcement, traffic control plan review, utility coordination, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate is a focused, independent worker who takes initiative, possesses strong analytical and communication skills, is passionate about ensuring data and process integrity and supporting team development, and has a trouble-shooter mindset.

Pay Range
$33.05 - $42.14

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Supports projects related to the development of improvement of organizational programs, processes, and systems. Uses quality assurance methodologies to assist with current state analysis assessments. Conducts continuous improvement projects for business units within the organization. Supports risk mitigation evaluations to improve organizational performance. Conducts assessments of organizational systems and processes. Supports project teams and organizational change efforts. Conducts continual improvement training. Supports the organizations quality center of excellence.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

  • Knowledge of applicable City of Austin, State, and Federal statutes, ordinances, and codes.
