San Bernardino County Human Resources is recruiting for a
Human Resources Technician, who will be responsible for creating impressive, professional, and dynamic social media content through strategic campaigns that inform and engage the intended audience; conceptualizing and executing social media content utilizing a structured social media calendar; capturing, analyzing, and reporting out social media analytics; media relations; drafting written and digital marketing collateral; and conducting appropriate outreach to inform the public about available services. The incumbent will also coordinate outreach events/activities and support the department during major media/communications incidents.

Minimum Requirements Education : Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Business/Public Administration, Public Policy, Public Relations or Mass Communications. A list of completed college coursework or legible transcripts
must be submitted with the application if the candidate does not possess an Associate's degree or higher in one of the qualifying fields listed above.
AND Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in two (2) or more of the following areas: 1) writing and editing educational/informational brochures or promotional materials for internal or external publications; 2) organizing, coordinating and overseeing outreach programs to promote organization events and activities; 3) high resolution digital photography; 4) videography, which included video editing, set design, and post production activities; and 5) w ebsite development, design, and editing functions.
Qualifying experience must also include extensive experience with creating and posting content for a variety of social media platforms within a business/agency setting. (Posting content to personal social media accounts is not considered qualifying.)
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience:
- Executing internal and external videography requests, including pre-production, production, and post-production editing
- Creating high performance social media content, which included developing a strong branding strategy to increase community engagement, including platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
- Utilizing advanced features of Adobe Creative suite or similar design program
- Drafting communications utilizing proper grammar with the ability to edit others' written materials
- Presenting information verbally to audiences of varying sizes
- Working in a government/public sector setting and responding to major incidents
- Capturing high resolution photographs at a variety of events
