    This position reports to the Utility Support Services ( USS ) team. The USS comprises the technical and data analysis needs of the work groups in Customer Account Management: billing and payment services, quality management, and revenue measurement and control.

    The IT Application Analyst will primarily provide data and reporting from the utility’s system of record (CC&B) to provide actionable insights to the teams the USS supports. This position may expand to other coding and server work.

    Fair Labor Standards Act:

    This position is considered FLSA Exempt. Exempt employees are salaried and, except as provided, are not eligible for overtime compensation.

    Work Schedule:
    • This position is categorized as Essential Personnel with the City of Austin. Essential staff are required to work during emergencies or bad weather if they are scheduled to work and, in some cases, when they are not scheduled. Essential employees ensure the continuance of key operations for the City of Austin.
    • Work hours may include after hours, holidays, and weekends.
    • Shifts may change according to departmental needs.
    • Employee may be required to work additional hours outside of regular work schedule.
    Pay Range
    $32.23 - $40.29

    Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

    Develops, implements, and configures technological solutions. Assists in administering, monitoring, and maintaining one or more IT systems. Provides support in response to issues to resolve specific technical problems or make changes to systems. Prepares and maintains documentation related to the development and maintenance of systems. Performs bug tracking and quality assurance tasks. Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing. Develops and/or delivers training. Creates and prepares reports.

    City Government
