We're hiring a highly detailed, tech savvy and organized team player to join our Programming team! Your excellent communication and high level of customer service will support the Programming Team, other library staff and our patrons by helping in the planning of library programs and events. Your collaboration across departments at the library will ensure accurate programming information is available, accurate and timely for patrons to discover and access. This position is primarily remote but will be required to work onsite at a JCPL location on occasion. A flexible schedule is available.

Description:Hiring Range: $15.57 to $19.46 per hour. - CORE LIBRARY SERVICES: Assist staff and various internal departments in planning programs. Review, correct and verify information on library programs and events to ensure accurate information for our public calendar of events. Communicate with program presenters, vendors, and staff over the phone or via email or virtually using high-level customer service skills. Maintain detailed and accurate electronic files and records. Participate in ongoing improvements to the library's processes and procedures. Collects statistical information pertaining to programs and events services. Assist in training staff in the programming process.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provide customer service to library staff, presenters, and stakeholders. Participate in a wide variety of tasks to ensure the delivery of quality library services. Maintain records and tabulations, review online forms for accuracy, schedule resource and respond to internal emails and phone calls. Utilize specialized or commercial software applications to develop, enter, store and/or retrieve information. Communicate policies and best practices for staff.
- OPERATIONATIONAL ORGANIZATION: Provides logistical support for event planning. Ensures adherence to strict deadlines. Collaborates with multiple staff and departments to organize information into easily understood segments. Schedules library resources and assists in the distribution of equipment throughout the library system. equipment. Labels and tracks library equipment and resources. Ensures adherence to established policies, procedures and standards. Attend workshops and training sessions to acquire new skills, while refining and maintaining others. Participate in staff and division meetings. May participate on committees and/or task forces. Keeps current on library policies and procedures. Monitors adherence to library policies and procedures.
