    A Fleet Analyst job is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management Departments Fleet Division. With our continued success and growth, the Fleet is seeking a FleetAnalystwho can work as an integral part of the fleet team providing research and analytical cost management for all parts of the Fleet Division in areas including fuel operations, acquisition of assets, and service operations. The Fleet Division plays a large part in providing support for all City departments serving our residents. The Fleet Division is the “glue” which keeps the City equipment and vehicles in a mechanically sound state and safe for all employees and residents.

    The Fleet Analyst should possess excellent customer relations and communication skills. Further, a solid foundation of statistical analysis and trends coupled with creating complex data is a must. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Fleet. The position will require some travel to service centers and administrative locations associated with Property Management Fleet within the Fort Worth and surrounding areas.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field
    • Three (3) years of research and analysis experience related to vehicle cost management, replacement schedules, and performance benchmarking.
    • Valid Texas driver's license.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Fleet industry experience, ideally in the area of fleet operations, is strongly preferred. Strong analytical skills are essential.
    • Experience in vehicle and equipment types, functions and capabilities.
    • Knowledge of equipment management information including data collection and reporting.
    • Lean and Six Sigma processes and procedures
    • Relevant fleet industry certifications including Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist CAFS, Certified Automotive Fleet Manager, CAFM; and
    • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access); FASTER Fleet Management Software; SQL, and PeopleSoft Purchasing Software.

    The Fleet Analyst job responsibilities include:
    • Analyzes departmental equipment needs and advises operating departments on equipment suitability and possible use of alternative types of equipment by considering cost and use factors and other available information.
    • Reviews output reports from fleet information systems and conduct fleet operation and maintenance cost studies to identify units requiring repair or replacement to include labor cost analysis, maintenance interval/frequency optimization, and vehicle disposal optimization. Recommend appropriate follow-up actions.
    • Analyzes the utilization of fleet units and makes recommendations for discontinuance and reassignment of units, or rental of infrequently used equipment, economic point of replacement for each equipment type and year. Conducts research and analysis related to total cost of ownership, fuel consumption, cost studies on operation, maintenance of fleet and performs market/labor analysis.
    • Leads the development and implementation of standardized procedures for fleet system analysis, process mapping, and required documentation steps.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Medical Program

    The City offers two plan options through Meritain Health, an Aetna company.

    The Health Center Plan – Offers employees and their family’s

    Vacation

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward.
