Job Summary The Digital Engagement Officer is responsible for cultivating a portfolio of leadership giving prospects, individuals that have the capacity to make a gift between $500 and $4,999. This individual will primarily engage donors through virtual platforms and digital communications, enhancing relationships and guiding the donor journey toward increasing support for the university.
Key Responsibilities - Frontline Fundraising/Leadership Giving/Solicitation: Develop and manage a portfolio of leadership donors to secure gifts of $500 to $4,999 through digital engagement.
- AI Bot Management for Leadership Solicitation: Oversee and optimize the AI bot to support leadership solicitation efforts and enhance donor interactions.
- Support and attend division-wide events.

Ability to handle highly sensitive information. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize. Ability to manage a high volume of work across multiple cloud-based platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and/or three years of related experience required.
• Experience with Zoom, communications software (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Slack), email (i.e. Outlook, Emma), and MS Office products.
Physical Summary - Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,598 - $6,250 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,598 - $8,318 per month.
Benefits Excellent benefits through CalPERS (health, vision, dental), tuition fee waiver, generous vacation and sick leave, and 14 paid holidays each year.
Time Base 1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
