INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST/CURRICULUM FACILITATOR

EOP- Summer Bridge
Salary Range : $16.50 - $140.00/Hourly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $30/Hourly)
Work Schedule : Hours to be arranged; temporary appointment ends on/or before July 11, 2025; non-exempt classification.
Essential Functions : Facilitator will consult with learning community faculty and staff to identify and plan for instructional/curriculum development needs that align with recommendations of EO 1110 - CSU's Math/Quantitative Reasoning (QR) initiative; collaborate with learning community faculty and staff to redesign instructional pedagogy content for the SAS supplemental instruction (SI) program and Summer Bridge Math Component; develop appropriate formative and/or summative assessments that align with instructional calendar; provide guidance and direction regarding the implementation of instructional activities with specific quantitative reasoning content; assume responsibility for developing the parameters of workshop training sessions to effectively support the learning and development of summer bridge math facilitators and SI leaders; and additional administrative duties as necessary. Facilitator will report to and interface with SAS Coordinator and the EOP Director for direction and progress.
Required Qualifications & Experience : A bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences or a Credential in Education.The incumbent must demonstrate expertise with active learning theory, as well as cooperative learning and socio-cultural theories; successful experience working with high needs population of mainly developmental and underrepresented students. The incumbent must have teh ability to act decisively under stressful situations. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current California State University employees who may apply for the position.
