Full-tine position available with the Human Resources Department, Labor & Employee Relations Division located at 414 E. 12th St.
Salary Range: $22.52/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
Duties: - Serves as a note taker for a variety of meetings and hearings, including grievances and investigations.
- Conducts meetings with employees, answers emails and phone calls to provide information to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding routine labor & employee relation issues, City policies and practices, and union collective bargaining agreements.
- Supports the administration of policies overseen by the Labor & Employee Relations Division.
- Facilitates the weekly New Employee Processing training and develops other Labor & Employee Relations trainings and job aids.
- Assists with revising and communicating policies/procedures.
- Assists with scheduling grievance hearings, attending grievance hearings and learning the grievance procedure.
- Assists with the organization of name clearing hearings, notices and scheduling.
- Performs administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, calendar management, drafting documents, and scheduling.

- Provides excellent writing skills, strong organization skills, be customer service focused, comfortable being a self-starter, and proficient at typing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to multi task, capable of prioritizing tasks, enjoys working in a face paced environment, capable of working independently and as a team member.
- Enjoys problem solving, able to analyze complicated situations, and good at note taking.
- Meets deadlines, communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and manages competing demands.
Qualifications

accredited Bachelor's degree.
