    Position Description
    Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of program tasks for the Physician Assistant Program in Midland. This position involves supervisory duties, operational planning, and ensuring the successful execution of all program components in line with organizational goals.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the office by professionally answering phones, greeting visitors and students, and providing comprehensive front office coverage.
    • Collaborate with team members to manage the PA program email and e-fax accounts.
    • Distribute and/or open and appropriately direct/receive incoming program mail and packages.
    • Type and file meeting minutes, prepare correspondence, and generate various reports and documents as needed.
    • Assist the Program Director, Regional Dean, and faculty with reports, files, and special projects.
    • Assist with the execution of program special events and activities.
    • Collaborate with team members in the execution of admissions interviews.
    • Maintain the student-facing LMS class calendar and schedule room reservations through the TTUHSC system.
    • Manage and maintain inventory levels for office supplies, printer/copier materials, student lounge supplies, and both student and faculty textbook inventories.
    • Maintain documentation for the department's purchasing card and prepare weekly reports.
    • Complete all travel reimbursements for MPAS faculty, adjuncts, students, and staff.
    • Serve as back-up to the Program Business Manager in executing purchasing contracts and performing budget reconciliations.


    Required Qualifications
    High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
