Position OverviewThe City of Henderson announces an examination to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Information Security Manager in the Department of Information Technology.
Under limited supervision, responsible for overseeing the City’s information security program; ensures the security of City data and compliance with regulations, laws, and industry requirements; provides security solutions and establishes the information security stance through policy, architecture, and training processes.
- This position is eligible for telework up to 2 days per week after completion of probationary period

Salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degreefrom an accredited college or universityin Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience supervising, developing, and supporting information security programs
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every year. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment
- Must possess at least one (1) of the following certifications at the time of appointment and maintain the certification as a condition of continued employment:
- GIAC Security Leadership Certification
- ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor or Security Manager
- (ISC) 2 CISSP
- (ISC) 2 CCSP
- Desirable: Master’s Degree in a related field

- Sixth year through twelfth calendar years of service - 20.59 hours per month
