ABOUT THE POSITION Under the supervision of the Compliance Manager, the Staff Services Coordinator within the Compliance, Privacy, and Ethics Division will oversee the Staff Services Analysts, while also supporting the Mental Health Clinician IIIs with non-clinical tasks. The team provides support and technical assistance to the BHRS Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder departments in the areas of ethical and compliance standards, maintaining member privacy, State and internal audits, and training. Our customers are BHRS and contract provider agency staff, from line and support staff through Senior Leadership. Our goal is to support our customers in meeting BHRS members’ needs and maintaining high standards and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position will be involved with staff throughout the department and contract provider agencies and requires effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to work within a team framework and multicultural knowledge, skills, and experience. This person will also work closely with Senior Leadership on compliance processes. Other desirable qualities include the ability to maintain accurate, well-organized records, and an understanding of the guidelines and regulations to which BHRS is held. Knowledge and experience using electronic health records, spreadsheets and database software are extremely important to success in this position. Click Here . Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Classified Service of the County and is assigned to the Mid-Management/Supervisory bargaining unit for labor relations purposes. Individuals who are in a full-time classification position are required to serve a twelve-month probationary period, which may be extended an additional six months, for a total of eighteen months. Typical Tasks - Provide positive leadership and guidance to staff to ensure quality performance.
- Assist the Manager with direct supervision, staff development, training, and performance evaluation of Staff Services Analysts.
- Analyze and interpret complex written materials such as regulations, policies, procedures, and State/Federal legislation.
- Conduct Compliance Program assessments and various Risk Assessments.
- Develop and Monitor Annual Compliance Work Plan with Manager support.
- Present internal/external audit findings and recommendations to various committees.
- Develop and monitor internal reports using compliance software.
- Review privacy and compliance reports prior to submission to various entities.
- Update General Compliance Training as appropriate and co-facilitate training with Training Department.
- Update Compliance Plan and policies to reflect current, updated regulations/requirements.
- Monitor the Compliance Hotline.
- Support staff in developing and running the Compliance & Ethics Week campaign.
- Assist in drafting newsletters and additional training resources.
- Participate in various meetings/conferences in/out of county.
- Complete compliance and privacy trainings as assigned.

- One (1) year of experience performing duties such as data analysis, program development, regulation review, and project coordination in a classification comparable to a Stanislaus County Staff Services Analyst; OR
- One (1) year of supervisory experience in a public or private agency performing duties involving contracts, organizing events (conferences, presentations, and trainings), data analysis, or regulation review.
