The City of Chandler Police Department, Police Technology Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as Business Systems Support Analyst. This is a full-time, exempt position with full benefits. The anticipated work schedule is Mon-Thurs 0730-1730.

The City of Chandler Police Department, consisting of 362 sworn officers and 177 civilians, serves a growing population of close to 287,945 residents. The organization is divided into three main divisions, one bureau, and many sections/units. The Patrol Operations Division consisting of three precincts, 1) Main Station - Downtown & North Chandler, 2) Desert Breeze - West Chandler, and 3) Chandler Heights - South Chandler, work in concert with the Criminal Investigations Division, Operational Support Division, and Professional Services Division to meet the needs of the community. Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; and is competently able to do the following when assigned to the Chandler Police Department:

• Maintain and monitor production environments hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes EC2 instances, S3 storage, IAM roles, and VPC configurations. Ensure cloud-based infrastructure is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to design, build, and deploy new system features. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software delivery processes.
• Develop and support API connectivity between internal and external systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across platforms.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software upgrades, and patch management across various platforms and applications.
• Use monitoring tools to proactively identify issues, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot system and application problems as they arise.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and integrations. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and external vendors as needed.

Minimum qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; and
• Must possess 3-years of experience in systems application analysis, programming and related experience specific to assigned area; and
• Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record; or
• The above requirements may be substituted for any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Supervision

Work is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position does not supervise others.

This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits, with a varied work schedule to include day, swing, and night shifts. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 6 months should another position become available.
