Calling All Interested Students!
San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is seeking a creative and motivated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Intern who will utilize the Esri GIS platform to create and maintain a wide variety of maps, data and geospatial information products. Under close supervision, t he incumbent will assist in developing customer map and/or geospatial data product requirements, use Esri’s ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro map production tools to compose and generate a wide variety of geospatial products.
Students will learn and assist with the following:- Assists with the collection, input, and mapping of GIS data.
- Assists with maintaining data on GIS products to author web maps and web applications.
- Evaluate data quality.
- Use mobile devices and mapping applications to capture data.
- Creates, updates, and maintains a variety of GIS databases in support of planning activities.

Minimum Requirements
Must be enrolled in one of our recognized colleges, universities, or trade schools.

Desired Qualifications
A genuine desire to enhance understanding of GIS, asset management, and the role of public infrastructure.
