    Starting Salary:

    CADD Tech I - $22.62 - $28.83

    CADD Tech II - $23.88 - $30.45

    CADD Tech III - $25.21 - $32.15

    Job Description: Performs technical computer-aided drafting and design work preparing a variety of surveys, sketches, and design drawings for a variety of projects and City Departments. Drawings range from simple sketches to complex boundary and topographical surveys requiring critical thinking and evaluation in how to approach each application requiring drafting or design. An employee in this position is responsible for following all applicable rules, codes, and/ordinances in performing daily tasks. This includes following departmental procedures for design specifications and required accuracies. Instructions are given orally and in writing and are general in nature. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed for neatness, accuracy, and conformances of desired work product and results desired. Must work directly with other employees to meet the requirements of each job and ensure timely completion.

    CADD Tech I: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate a nd two (2) years’ experience in engineering/survey drafting required. Must possess a Certified Survey Technician Level I or higher from NSPS (National Society of Professional Surveyors) or a State of Florida Surveyor and Mapper license. Position requires knowledge of 5J-17 of the Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes Chapter 177. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Experience with AutoCAD 2009 or newer and/or MicroStation V8XM or newer required. AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 or newer preferred.

    CADD Tech II - High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) years’ experience in engineering/survey drafting required. Must possess a Certified Survey Technician Level II or higher from NSPS (National Society of Professional Surveyors) or a State of Florida Surveyor and Mapper license. Position requires knowledge of 5J-17 of the Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes Chapter 177. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.     CADD Tech III - High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years’ experience in engineering/survey drafting required. Must possess a Certified Survey Technician Level III or higher from NSPS (National Society of Professional Surveyors) or a State of Florida Surveyor and Mapper license. Position requires knowledge of 5J-17 of the Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes Chapter 177. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Experience with AutoCAD 2009 or newer and/or MicroStation V8XM or newer required. AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 or newer preferred.

    Additional Qualifications for Promotion:

    Promotions are not to be considered an automatic function of longevity and are subject to the review and authorization of the Supervisor. The employee’s last performance review must have resulted in an overall rating of Meets standards or better with no factor rating of less than meets.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
