Assigned to Internal Affairs, the Program Specialist will perform a variety of highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative support tasks.
Your Impact- Prepare and transcribe audio files in designated format.
- Responsible for the Department’s account to Discovery Accelerator for email review and search.
- Maintain confidential files including workflow and correspondence for complaint investigations, employee files, claims, grievances, liability, use of force, traffic collisions, personnel records requests.
- Respond and assist with Public Records Requests including the redaction of documents.
- Receive, sort, disperse, and draft correspondence.
- Review and edit investigative reports.
- Review and retrieve case reports, case files, and body worn camera footage.
- Manage the unit's data program - BlueTeam, IAPRO, and AXON.
- Produce and Report the Annual Department Audits for DOJ, URSUS, CLETS, SB54, SB90, and Citizen’s Complaints.
- Responsible for unit retention schedule and purging of documents/files based off city policies and current senate bills.
- Provide correspondence, documentation, and case files to Human Resources Staff, City Attorney’s, Third Party Adjusters, and Command Staff.
Best Fit- Demonstrates aptitude with computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word for data management.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in public administration or related field with some experience in municipal management, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. May require a valid California driver's license.
