CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Physical Requirements: Incumbents must be able to occasionally lift seventy (70) pounds in addition to walking, stooping and bending.
Travel/License: Travel throughout the County is required. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced. Incumbents must possess and maintain a Class B driver license with Tanker endorsement within six (6) months of employment, and must possess and maintain a Qualified Applicator license or certificate in the Right-of-Way category within one (1) year of employment or be terminated.

Minimum RequirementsQualified candidates must meet
one of the experience options below:
OPTION 1: Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate issued by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
OPTION 2: Six (6) months of experience in professional pest control or weed eradication operations.
Desired QualificationsThe
ideal candidate will hold a valid Class A or B California driver license, along with a Qualified Applicator License or Certificate issued by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Additionally, candidates should have hands-on experience operating heavy equipment and possess a working knowledge of equipment mechanics.
