    The Position

    Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

    Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

    The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Community Health Services, Office of HIV (OOH) has an opening for a full time Management Analyst I (MA) in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for providing programmatic support and technical assistance to agency personnel, other state agencies, community partners and the public, in delivering core medical and support services under the Health Resources and Services Administration Ryan White Part B (RWPB) grant. This position will also coordinate departmental and peer reviews of subgrant applications and assist applicants during the review process; approve/disapprove subgrant scopes of work, including working with fiscal staff on budgetary items; analyze end-of-project financial and program reports from subrecipients; monitor programs on-site and through record and desk audit reviews to ensure compliance with federal requirements; as well as complete required federal and local programmatic reports. This position provides support to another MA I in relation to clinical quality management efforts. This position is also directly responsible for some mid-year and annual reporting and their oversight, along with other team members, for the RWPB grant. Additionally, this position will complete monitoring visits, provide subrecipient close-out monitoring reports, monitoring subrecipient activities, expenditures and meeting associated grant deliverables. Lastly, this position will become the subject matter expert for service delivery of RWPB core medical and support services through OOH, and in absence of the direct supervisor and/or Health Program Manager II (HPM).     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
